Why did we choose SIP?
Since the underlying elements of SIP are so much like HTTP, creating network-based services can be quick and straightforward. Developers can design and implement new SIP-based voice services as fast and easy as they develop web pages. SIP, XML and HTTP form a powerful architecture for the application development community. Customer demands can now be met by integrating applications with voice services. This can become a snowball effect. As more new and exciting applications become developed, technologies such as SIP can now bring them together.
By avoiding major hardware upgrades to application servers, and instead enabling new software-based services using SIP, we can reduce the time associated with deploying new features from months down to just days. For subscribers, this means ever-improving communication services, plus lower initial and recurring telephone service costs.
SIP holds lot of promise in today’s and tomorrow’s world of communication. It has been established as a standard for call control and signaling on 3G cell phone networks by the Third Generation Partnership Project (3GPP). This means that all multimedia and IP voice call signaling will be done through SIP. New services involving fixed network IP services can thus be introduced with ease.
NetVitesse delivers a robust, feature-rich platform. People want more for less in today’s market. NetVitesse gives our customers more and we also give it to you sooner.
